14 июля The Sandbox анонсировал в своем Medium 3-й сезон альфа-тестирования своей метавселенной. В материале собрали все, что известно о нем на данный момент.
Тезисно о The Sandbox Alpha Season 3
- Третий сезон будет длиться 10 недель. Для сравнения, второй сезон длился 4 недели.
- В 3-м сезоне будет более 90 различных игр (experiences) от брендов, студий и креаторов. Для сравнения, во втором сезоне было 35 игр, в первом — 18.
- У сезона вышел первый трейлер. В нем команда показала тизеры игр от Atari, BAYC, Steve Aoki и других брендов. Но игровых механик из этих тизеров пока не узнать.
- Команда раздаст 10 тыс. Alpha Pass в ходе сезона. Это NFT, которые дают возможность зарабатывать на Play-to-Earn механиках и получить награду с них в конце сезона.
- Чтобы получить награду до 500 токенов SAND (до $550 по текущему курсу), нужно будет прокачать своего персонажа до 5-го уровня. Аналогичное условие было и во втором сезоне The Sandbox Alpha, но там раздавали по 1000 SAND (до $3300 по курсу на момент 2-го сезона).
- Для владельцев земли, аватаров и NFT-коллекций The Sandbox будут выделены гарантированные награды. Тем, у кого их, будет сложнее заработать, потому что часть наград будет по приоритету уходить тем, у кого они есть.
- Точной даты запуска пока нет. Сообщество ждет, что 3-й сезон начнется 22 июля.
Какие награды были в предыдущем сезоне
Доступ ко второму сезону был открыт для всех пользователей. Заработок в нем складывался из двух наград:
Первая: 1000 токенов SAND. По курсу на 31 марта (дата окончания второго сезона) это было около $3300. Их могли получить все, кто прокачал своего персонажа до 5-го уровня во время сезона. Для прокачки нужно было пройти практически все 35 игр, доступных во время ивента. Но никаких вложений не требовалось.
Сумма полученных токенов могла быть меньше и зависела от заполнения пулов стейкинга токенов mSAND. Чем больше токенов стейкало комьюнити, тем больше токенов SAND проект раздавал в конце сезона. В итоге пулы были заполнены на 100% и проект раздал каждому аккаунту с 5-м уровнем максимальную сумму в 1000 SAND ($3300).

Вторая: Alpha Pass. Это NFT, которые дают доступ к P2E-контенту The Sandbox. К концу второго сезона они стоили около $2200 на OpenSea. За 4 недели, которые длился сезон, проект раздал при помощи розыгрышей 10 тыс. Alpha Pass. Их можно было получить двумя способами:
- выполнять социальные задания: например, сделать скрин в определенной локации и опубликовать его в Twitter с хештегом ивента. Часть Alpha Pass разыгрывалась среди тех, кто выполнял эти задания. Пользователям из России нужно было использовать VPN, чтобы участвовать в таких заданиях.
- прокачивать своего персонажа. Чем выше уровень, тем больше шансов получить Alpha Pass в ходе розыгрыша.
В результате, любой пользователь мог получить по $3300 просто пройдя все локации во время второго сезона. А в случае удачи на розыгрышах Alpha Pass, можно было заработать в совокупности до $6500. И все это без вложений, покупки NFT-персонажей или земель.
Что можно сделать уже сейчас
Зарегистрироваться на участие в 3-м сезоне. Для этого нужно войти в свой аккаунт на официальном сайте The Sandbox и нажать на «Register for Season 3». Уведомление о начале ивента придет к вам на электронную почту. Если у вас нет аккаунта, то для его создания понадобится только подключить крипто-кошелек и указать свою почту.

Скачать альфа-версию The Sandbox на свой компьютер. Для этого на официальном сайте перейдите в раздел «Play» и нажмите на «Download Alpha».

Пройти короткий опрос и получить 10 Raffle Tickets. Это очки, которые нужны для прокачки и получения бонуса до 500 SAND. Большую часть из них нужно будет собирать, выполняя квесты, когда 3-й сезон запустится. 10 Raffle Tickets — это немного, но и на опрос уйдет несколько минут.

Что говорят эксперты
Мы нашли FUD одного манимейкера, который поделился своими мыслями. Вот, что он думает:
Длиться 3 сезон будет в 2.5 раза больше (10 недели вместо 4), а призовой пул в 7 раз меньше — $6 миллионов вместо вместо $35 миллионов. Хоть и много, но делить на всех же нужно. При этом участников в 2 раза больше как минимум.
Скорее всего, что нас ожидает улучшенная антифрод-система, то есть увеличен риск того, что акки вообще отлетят после прохождения. 1 аккаунт сендбокса будет стоить $10, так как цены зависят не от затраченного времени, а от возможной прибыли — это важно понимать. А кто будет работать 2,5 месяца меньше, чем за $10?
У меня и моей команды план изменился с нескольких тысяч акков на 1 личный акк просто для интереса — вдруг повезет в конце выиграть 500 SAND ($600).
Выводы
Резюмируем. 3-й сезон будет дольше второго, а игр в нем будет почти в 3 раза больше. Но наград, по текущему курсу SAND, будет меньше. И часть из них уйдет тем, у кого есть земли, аватары или NFT метавселенной. Ждем дальнейших новостей о сезоне.

A New Paradigm for Digital Existence
As Web3 slowly edges toward maturity, no concept is pushing the boundaries further than the metaverse. The metaverse unites some of the most advanced visual technology known to man with a blockchain foundation: this makes for a shared virtual world, where users can not only interact, socialise and play with absolutely anyone, but also curate their own existence through the digital assets they own. This extends to fashion, land, vehicles, in-game assets and more, all of which are owned by players themselves via the blockchain.
In short, the metaverse creates a new paradigm for digital existence, and we’re only at the very beginning of the journey.
The Sandbox: Legacy Game Turned Blockchain Giant
There are currently a number of big metaverse projects underway, but chief among these is The Sandbox – a $1.5 billion dollar universe built on the Ethereum (and more recently Polygon) blockchain. Players can not only socialise, curate and play on the platform, but also create, buy and sell NFT-based gaming assets for real value on its native marketplace.

So as The Sandbox Alpha Season 3 (yep, that’s right – there have already been two previous events) prepares for takeoff, what can you expect from the experience – and how can you get involved securely yourself? Let’s break it down here.
What’s so special about Alpha Season 3?
The Sandbox Alpha seasons are all about play-to-earn, with brand new experiences released for a limited time during each Alpha Season for users to test out – and of course, earn rewards.
- Brand New Maps
A central element of the Sandbox experience is the platform’s native Quests, with each resident Map featuring various Quests; missions users can take part in via their platform avatar.
Season 2 in March of 2022 featured more than 200 Quests players could participate in. This included Foreplay, a series of missions hosted inside Snoop Dogg’s mansion, as well as a host of other options. More Quests are expected to be rolled out for the coming Alpha Season, as well as upgraded versions of existing Quests. Pretty exciting, right?
- Live Social Events
The metaverse is a platform for human interaction, so not surprisingly, live social events are a huge part of the deal at The Sandbox, and a host of special events are rolled out specially during each Alpha season. For example, Alpha Season 2 featured a 24-hour set by Blondish DJ live within the platform, a meta-fashion show featuring brand new designs, and even a guided tour of the virtual Star Ferry Pier in Hong Kong, courtesy of Sandbox Resident resident, China Morning Post. These are just a handful of the 15 different experiences on offer, but pretty good indicator of what’s to come this time around.
How do I Enter The Sandbox and The Sandbox Alpha?
Hey we have great news: whether you’re a die-hard Sandbox fan or you just like what you’re reading and want to try it out, anyone can try out The Sandbox – and the coming Alpha Season – for free! All you need to do is connect to the game (you’ll need Windows OS for the Alpha event), and you can do this via the login page with:
- Your Web3 wallet, such as Metamask (you can connect with your Ledger Sandbox wallet for offline security)
- Your social or email account, and Venly
Once you’ve set up your account, you’ll need to create your very own avatar for exploring the territory – after that, the virtual world is your oyster!
The Sandbox Alpha Pass
Play-to-earn is the backbone of The Sandbox, and naturally, you’ll be collecting some juicy rewards as you complete Quests and explore the platform during the coming Alpha event. But if you want to be able to “cash in” your rewards for the platform’s native cryptocurrency $SAND once you’re done, you’ll need to have an Alpha Pass in your wallet at the end of the season.
In Season 2, passes were given out by The Sandbox at the end of the season to lucky winners via a raffle-style prize draw – and the more you played, the more chance you had of winning. Stay tuned to find out how to get your hands on a pass this time around.

Alpha Season 3 of The SandBox is coming up this Summer
The SandBox has released a short video clip for its community members; the video is a preview of what the upcoming season 3 looks like. The new season will feature existing items from the previous seasons, and some newly introduced items will also be unmasked.
The Alpha Season 2 was filled with over 35 thrilling experiences, which includes 18 upgraded experiences from Season 1, 5 newly added experiences, 4 new user-built GameMaker Fund experiences, 3 new IP experiences, and 1 new transportation hub. It also featured the sales of NFT Passes exclusively for the season. The SandBox Alpha Season 2 was from March 3rd to March 31st.
Details of Alpha Season 3
Season 3 will be a mega version of the previous seasons, poised to be bigger, longer and more fantastic. The new season is loaded with more playable content for users. Players will be able to explore 90+ experiences created by brands, studios and users. The SandBox Alpha Season 3 will have a duration of 10 weeks.
Interested participants should register and level up to stand a chance to win one of the 10000 Alpha Passes dedicated to the season. Successful players who reach level 5 of the game will earn up to 500 SAND rewards.
